How we work .... It’s very simple!
The advantages of being mobile mean that we work hills wide. Call us to arrange an appointment at your convenience.
Is it better for you to have a visit before you go to work?
Or after the kids have been picked up from school?
It’s up to you for a time that suits. We will book you an appointment for a home visit where the mobile surgery will come direct to your home. 8.00am to 5.30pm Monday to Friday. We also offer appointments for our registered clients 8.00am to 1.00pm on Saturday.
We will need close parking access to your premises and access to an electric plug.
Any initial routine consultations and vaccinations will be performed in your home Further diagnostics will generally be performed in the mobile surgery on your premises eg xrays , ultrasounds, endoscopes. Most medicines are carried on board for immediate treatment and any additional medications for ongoing treatment can be posted express post or acquired from the clinic in Hahndorf the very next day.
If your pet needed xrays or ultrasound we can give them a little sedation if needed or a short acting general anesthetic to carry out these procedures and if it needed surgery we can transport them back to the clinic in the mobile surgery for you. We will first weigh them and can administer a pre-med to make them a little sleepy if they are nervous travellers.
As they come round from the operation and when we are happy with their recovery, we will be able to bring them back to you if requires. Any post-operative checks can be performed at home as required and any medication / information sheets will be provided .
We are mobile but we have a receptionist at Hahndorf and work via our mobile phones. In some instances we may not be able to give confirmation of bookings or answer your queries straight away as the dedicated small animal is probably currently with a client or driving. We understand it can be frustrating but please be patient; just leave a message or send a text / email and we will get back to you as soon as possible. Please also bear in mind that if you currently use another veterinarians’ services it is best you inform us when you call so we can acquire your pet’s clinical history and register you. This is in your pets’ best interests so we can ascertain if they are currently on any medication, when vaccinations are due, etc.
We do request payment at the time of service or when you pet is returned . We accept cash and also have a mobile card machine available to process payments. Obviously in the case of emergencies we are at will to use our discretion as your pet’s welfare is always paramount.
If your animal is insured we are happy to process insurance claims, although we will still require payment from yourselves at the time of service. The insurance claims will be sent off ASAP to ensure that the insurance company pays you as promptly as possible (please note there is NO CHARGE for the completion of any insurance claims ) Please see our terms and conditions for more details.
